Social networking and microblogging site, Pownce, recently announced some exciting news. Pownce is officially out of beta, and no invites are required to join.
Pownce is a way to keep in touch with and share stuff with your friends. You can send people files, links, and messages.
As a Pownce user, I’m excited about some of the new features.
- the ability to import friends from Facebook, Twitter, Digg, Flickr, Yahoo, Hotmail, AOL, and GMail (no Jaiku or MySpace yet)
- a mobile version at http://m.pownce.com
- more user themes and the ability to customize your profile (a Pro account is still required for customization)
- the ability to view videos and and images within your notes
- email notifications with full-text from Pownce
- ability to link to other social network profiles
